Devastating winds, floods, and freeze
Happening all at once

My mind an equal tornado
My hand’s frozen, claws

Winter has wreaked havoc on my body
Muscles shriveling
Hands and feet numb
Sharp pins and needles

Pain a constant fire
Joints warm to the touch
Locking up on a moment’s notice

One day at the dog park
Running errands, enjoying life
The next, unable to stand straight
Needing assistance to walk
