Thought Filters

It all begins with an idea.
Wanting to do the best.
Be the best.

We’ve all been there,
we’re all guilty.

Whether at school, work,
sport, or hobby.
At some point,
we’ve had a rush

That moment
Getting lost
Wanting
Needing
To be THE best
at THAT thing

It takes over
Your life consumed
Swallowed whole

Is this what you want?
Was this the goal?

As I’ve begun to study my inner thought patterns, the filters I process situations and emotions, the more aware I am when they pop up in my daily life.

My primary negative thought pattern is “I will never be good enough.” I am also very hard on myself about living with an invisible illness and the perceived judgment from others.

What are some of your negative thoughts, so we can keep each other accountable? Awareness is the most important tool for learning what is causing the repetitive behavior.
